The support psychologist

Lucy Burdin
Founder & CEO
I am a sport and exercise psychologist with extensive experience across elite sport environments, including the Women’s Super League, golf, tennis, swimming, netball and hockey. I work from a deeply person-centred foundation, focusing on understanding the individual within their performance system and wider life context. My aim is to create psychologically informed spaces where athletes, coaches and practitioners can think clearly, develop effectively, and perform with consistency while maintaining their wellbeing.
Alongside my applied work, I specialise in supporting individuals through key performance and life transitions, including injury, rehabilitation, return-to-performance and career change. These moments often shape identity as much as performance, and my work focuses on helping people navigate them with clarity, stability and confidence. I integrate evidence-based psychological practice with practical application in real-world environments, ensuring support is both meaningful and usable under pressure.
I also work with teams, organisations and practitioners to shape performance culture and strengthen the systems that sit around athletes. This includes consultancy, supervision and the development of psychologically informed environments that prioritise both performance and wellbeing. Through my practice, I am building a more accessible and relational model of sport and exercise psychology; one that is high quality, collaborative, and available to those working across all levels of sport.
